Creative Awakening Winter Workshop
All-day art workshop, two separate sessions. 9:00 - 5:00
You will experience a step-by-step process of creating a pastel landscape.
The afternoon session will work through a botanical-themed project using mixed media on Bristol paper.
An optional catered lunch by Milady Coffeehouse is an additional charge.
If you would like to join us for dinner after the workshop, at a downtown Fremont restaurant is optional and upon request.

Artist & Art Instructor - Monica Eby
I grew up with 6 siblings in an exceptionally creative environment — both musically and in visual arts. I attended a trade school and studied both graphic and fashion arts.
With experience in multiple mediums, including watercolor, acrylics, pastels, pencils, charcoal and clay. I enjoy incorporating mixed media into my creative process to further grow in creativity.
My classes bring a variety of fun creative techniques to manipulate paint: Intermingling the use of balloons, Q-tips, cardboard, salt, and hot glue with traditional pencil, pen & ink, paint, brush, and clay.
In my free time, I love to hang with my husband Todd, my three daughters, and my five grandkids. If you want to learn more about visual arts or painting, register for private lessons or sign up for group classes.

I have brought my daughter to Monica for over 4 years now.
When we started her art class we figured we would come for about 6 months and our daughter would possibly lose interest. Our daughter is now 12 years and enjoys every week. Monica was able to make virtual classes work during covid and has also performed a group class for our basketball team of 6th grade girls and it was a hit.
She is great with her communication before and after class and also knows how frustrating art can be and she pushes our daughter to challenge herself without discouraging her. I couldn’t provide a stronger recommendation for anyone as I would for Monica being able to work with any child. Art is such a great way for kids to express themselves and separate from the stressors of technology and life, to be able to do it with someone they enjoy being around who also builds a strong caring relationship has helped more than words could ever explain.

Has over 35 years in the business of art. Todd has held many different positions throughout his career; Illustrator, Sculptor, Graphic Designer, Art Director, Creative Director, Marketing Director, and Video Producer.
Todd has had a passion for artwork and creativity since his early childhood and into his career in graphic design, advertising, digital marketing, and teaching for over 10 years at an art college.
